Obituary
Linda Grider, age 71, a resident of Portland, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at her home in Portland.
Linda was born on Aug. 12, 1948, in Jay County, the daughter of Lawrence and Bonnie (Hall) Fisher. She graduated from Portland High School in 1966 and worked as a school bus aide and waitress for Beals Restaurant for many years.
Linda married Hugh Butch Grider on December 18, 1981 and he passed away on February 23, 2015.
Survivors include:
Her children — Gary Grider (wife: Deb), Hartford City, Indiana, Mark Grider (wife: Elizabeth), Goose Creek, South Carolina, Mitchell Grider (wife: Karen), Milroy, Indiana, and Kelli Shores (husband: Tim), Poneto, Indiana
One sister — Pat Fisher, Marion, Ohio
Eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Hanks; two brothers, Doug and Kenneth Fisher; and a sister, Carol Somers.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at Antioch Cemetery, southeast of Portland.
Arrangements are entrusted to Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.
