Arts Place will be offering a “jump start” program to help in-coming sixth graders make the transition to middle school band.
Since middle school band has been canceled for the summer, students would not be able to start with their instrument lessons until the start of school in the fall.
Thanks to Arts Place donors, incoming sixth graders will be able to take private lessons for six weeks for just $10.
The $10 covers one private lesson per week for six weeks.
Parents will be responsible for providing an instrument and book for the student. Arts Place will make all registration, scheduling and teaching arrangements. Instruments are available for rent through Muncie Music (munciemusic.com). On-line rental is available and Muncie Music will deliver instruments to Arts Place. Registration forms for the JumpStart program will be available soon.
