Imogene Landon, age 97, a resident of Berne and a former Jay County resident passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at Chalet Village in Berne.
She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and was active in the Women’s Circle. She retired after more than 30 years from the Jay County ASCS Office in Portland.
Imogene Landon was born Oct. 13, 1922, in Jay County, Indiana, the daughter of William and Hattie (Hoppess) Miller.
Survivors include:
One daughter — Sondra Ford (husband: Henry), Berne, Indiana
Two grandsons — Gregg Ford (wife: Joy), Willshire, Ohio, and Jeff Ford (wife: Susan), Ohio City, Ohio
Seven great-grandchildren
Three great-great-grandchildren
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Greg Rittenhouse officiating.
Private burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery, west of Bryant.
