Joanne Hellwarth Jutte, 91, of Celina, Ohio, passed away Feb. 27, 2020, at Celina Manor.
She was born April 22, 1928, in Washington Township, Mercer County, Ohio, to Benjamin and Luetta (Curless) Powell. Joanne and Maurice Hellwarth were married in 1949, and he passed away in 1965. In 1979, she married Johnnie Jutte, who died in 2015.
Surviving are her daughters, Diane (Raymond) Tomko, Cleveland, Ohio, and Deborah Gephart, Placerville, California; daughter-in-law Diana Hellwarth, Celina; grandchildren Terry, Tracy, Tara and Tiffany; great-grandchildren Zachary, Logan, Peyton, Ashton, Lane, Brittan and Zander; great-great-grandchildren Hazel and Hudson; brothers Jerry (Betty) Powell, Celina and Bill (Shirley) Powell, Portland, Indiana; sister-in-law Jean Powell, Rockford, Ohio; and step-daughter, Charlene (Jim) Westgerdes, Fort Recovery.
Preceding her in death was a son, Larry Hellwarth; brothers and sisters Richard, Bobby, Roger and Jack Powell, Hope Stein, Mary Jane Wurster and Violet Shirk; half-siblings Delilah Beams, Mabel Ellis and Wright Powell; and step-son Don Jutte.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, at W.H. Dick & Sons – Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina. Burial will be at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling Hours are 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, and an hour before services on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Cancer Association of Mercer County or Mount Tabor Church of God, Celina.
