Ryan M. Hodson, age 36, a resident of rural Portland, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020, in Blackford County, Indiana. He was owner and operator of Hodson Construction in Portland.
Ryan was a 2002 graduate of Jay County High School and a member of the Old Path Baptist Church in Portland.
Ryan Hodson was born Nov. 18, 1983, in Bluffton, Indiana, the son of Michael and Lisa (Cale) Hodson. He was married on Nov. 19, 2004, to Jamie Welling.
Survivors include:
His beloved wife — Jamie Hodson, Portland, Indiana
Brother — Brent Hodson (wife: Shannon), Dunkirk, Indiana
His parents — Michael and Lisa Hodson, Dunkirk, Indiana
Grandmother — Caroylene Hodson, Albany, Indiana
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will be held at Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to the services. Ryan’s father, Pastor Michael Hodson, will officiate the services, and burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery in Dunkirk, Indiana.
Family requests memorial be directed to Riley Children’s Hospital.
