Jesse Yaney

Jesse E. Yaney, age 77, of rural Bryant passed away Sunday, May 3, 2020, at his residence.

He was born in Portland on Jan. 29, 1943, the son of Virgil and Edith (Myers) Yaney. He was married Oct. 31, 1970, to Judy Chowning who survives. He was retired as a truck driver and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of VFW 6751 in Geneva, Portland American Legion and Portland Moose Lodge.

Surviving are his wife Judy; two sons, Jesse Yaney Jr. (wife: Sandy) of Muncie and Brian Yaney (wife: Cindy) of Muncie; three daughters, Anita Lamb (husband: Donald) of Van Buren, Indiana, Kim Ayers (husband: Brent) of Bryant and Karla Rowles of Portland; four sisters, Marcella Steveson of Portland, Janace Schmidt (husband: Evan) of Geneva, Judy Bruns (husband: Jerry) of Bryant and Charlene Duncan (husband: Garry) of Portland; 14 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

Private funeral services will be held in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Morgan presiding. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bryant.
