Curbside service is returning to Jay County Public Library.
The library plans to phase in its services.
Beginning this week, patrons can all the library at (260) 726-7890 or contact via email at [email protected] to request specific titles. The library can also be messaged through its Facebook page.
For the near future, hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be no fines assessed during the transition back to normal.
Graduates
Former Portland resident and Jay County High School graduate Andrew McShane has earned his bachelor of science degree from Purdue University in mechanical engineering technology. He resides in West Lafayette.
Also canceled
The Fort Recovery High School Alumni Committee has decided to cancel the June 23 alumni banquet due to COVID-19.
The alumni group will be presenting eight scholarships totaling $10,000 to members of the 2020 Fort Recovery High School graduating class. Those will be presented at commencement rather than at the banquet.
Donations to the scholarship fund should be mailed to Fort Recovery High School Alumni, P.O. Box 378, Fort Recovery, Ohio 45846.
Tutoring available
Ivy Tech Community College is offering free tutoring for students in all grade levels.
Those interested in an appointment for tutoring, should send an email to Cody Czarniecki, Ivy Tech’s learning commons coordinator, at [email protected] and include the time and subject. Instructions for connecting to the tutoring session will be sent as a response to all emails.
