The Jay County Historical Society has announced new hours for the genealogy library, but the museum will not reopen until June 16.
The genealogy library will be open for research on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning May 26 by appointment only. The office number is (260) 726-7168.
Year-end schedule
The end of year schedule has been announced for students at Fort Recovery Elementary School.
Students are asked to turn in devices and chargers, textbooks, books from the school library and other items belonging to the school.
The school will be sending home a bag with each student’s personal itmes.
Students whose last names begin with A through M should send one person per family to the school between noon and 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, or between 3:30 and 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20.
Students whose last names begin with N through Z should send one person per family to the school between 3:30 and 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, or between noon and 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20.
The final day for drop-off and pick-up is Thursday, May 21, from 7 a.m. to noon.
The exchange point for students in preschool through second grade will be at the preschool-kindergarten doors. The exchange point for grades 3 through 5 will depend pon the weather and will be announced at a later date.
