To the editor:
With Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb’s recent announcement and roll-out of guidelines of getting Indiana back on track, I am pleased to announce that the Jay County Public Library is getting back on track, too.
Much like the governor’s plan, we will be gradually phasing back our services to the public. We will be taking it slowly, making sure we have procedures in place that aid in the safety of our staff and patrons.
We are starting this week with curbside delivery of library materials. The process is easy — give us a call (260) 726-7890, send us an email at [email protected], send us a message through our Facebook page or place holds on specific titles through your Evergreen account.
If you have any questions at all about this process, please give us a call. We will be open (for the near future) Monday through Friday only from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The library is also offering document services for the public, such things as faxing, printing, scanning and emailing. Call for more details about these services. All document services during this time are free to residents of Jay County.
There will also be no fines during our transition back to regular service.
As much as we would love to throw open the doors and welcome you all back right now, out of caution during this health crisis, we will slowly get our services back to what they once were. We ask for your patience and understanding, and believe me, we are looking forward to getting back to normal as much as you all are.
