Obituary
Rose Hodge, age 70, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She was born on Nov. 6, 1949, in Thermopolis, Wyoming, into a family of five daughters and one son.
Rose was preceded in death by her daughter, Roberta Foster; her parents, Omer and Willie Reynolds; her sisters, Barbara Seelnacht and June Johnson; and her half-brother James Reynolds.
Rose’s childhood was spent in Portland and Muncie, Indiana, and during her adult years she lived in Portland, Angola and, most recently, in Fort Wayne.
She worked in factories and in home care until about seven years ago.
Rose was married several times, and had a strong and independent spirit. Deeply caring, she could also be a handful, feisty and stubborn. She was also beautiful.
Rose is survived by her son, Drew (Maggi) Walker; her four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Trudy Rook, Portland, Indiana; her half-sister, Lois Cartwright, Tennessee; and her nieces, and nephews. She was all about being a great-grandma.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Neptune Society – Indianapolis, and her ashes will be interred at Greenlawn Cemetery in Portland at her sister Barbara’s grave.
A celebration of Rose’s life will be held later this summer.
Memorials can be directed toward the family.
