The coronavirus pandemic has led to the cancelation of the Jay Schools Kindergarten Round-up.
Parents who need to pre-register a kindergarten student for next fall should go to bit.ly/JSCkindergarten.
Parents who have already pre-registered don’t need to complete the pre-registration form again.
Online registration for the 2020-2021 school year will take place beginning the week of July 27. On-site registration will be Aug. 3 and Aug. 5. Each child planning to attend Jay Schools in the fall will need to be registered.
Prior to fall registration, individual schools will be reaching out to parents to schedule the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment, a Jay Schools spokesman said.
The assessment is designed to give the school a basic understanding of each child’s current academic ability. This assessment usually takes no more than an hour to complete. Specific details regarding testing will be released the week of July 27.
Schools will be sharing additional information via school websites and social media sites.
