Portland man charged with solicitation

A Portland man was arrested Wednesday for child solicitation.

Jose Luis Santis-Gomez, 30, 944 W. Race St., was preliminarily charged with a Level 4 felony.

He was booked into Jay County Jail on $15,000 bond.



Criminal confinement

A Bryant man was arrested Thursday for criminal confinement with bodily injury and strangulation.

Skyler L. Petty, 28, 7073 N. 200 East, was preliminarily charged with a Level 5 felony for criminal confinement and a Level 6 felony for strangulation.

He was also preliminarily charged with two Class A misdemeanors for interfering with reporting a crime and domestic battery.

Petty was booked into Jay County Jail on $15,000 bond.

Possession

A Redkey man was arrested Thursday for drug possession and related charges.

Lance M. Stephen, 34, 9486 W. 400 South, was preliminarily charged with two Level 6 felonies for possession of cocaine, methamphetamine or narcotic drugs and unlawful possession of a syringe.

Stephen was booked into Jay County Jail on $6,000 bond.



Probation violation

A Portland man was arrested Thursday for violating his probation.

Joshua L. Harter, 25, 112 W. 2nd St., had been charged a Class B felony for armed robbery. His bond from Jay County Jail is set at $10,000.
