Obituaries
John W. “Dub” Miskinis, 78, of Dunkirk, Indiana, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020, at IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.
Dub was born in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 28, 1942, a son of the late Audrey (Younkin) and John James Miskinis. He was a 1960 graduate of Dunkirk High School and retired from Kerr Glass/Ball Incon.
Dub was a member of Local Union #121, Dunkirk Elks Lodge and enjoyed watching and playing golf, bowling, reading and listening to 1950s music. Dub was a family man and nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He rarely ever missed an event and supported them in whatever activity they were involved in.
Dub is survived by a special friend Pam Lovis; two daughters, Shelly Miskinis and Debbie Adams (husband: Roy); one brother, Jimmy Miskinis (wife: Connie); one sister, Dorothy Mays (husband: Lewis); two grandchildren, Sean Adams and Megan Popp; and four great-grandchildren, Jase and Hadley Adams, and Tinley and Tali Popp.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Wanda (Whiteman) Miskinis; and two brothers, Kenneth and Donnie Miskinis.
Services are private at the convenience of the family with Pastor Randy Davis officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dunkirk Beautification Committee in care of Donna Revolt, 714 S. Franklin St., Dunkirk, IN 47336.
Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries.
