Obituary
Chris Hearn, age 72, of Portland passed away Sunday afternoon Nov. 15, 2020, at Miller's Merry Manor in Hartford City, Indiana.
Chris was born in Portland on June 2, 1948, the son of Frank and Mary Ellen (Councilman) Hearn. He had worked for US Communications, Red Gold, Sheller-Globe and New Idea. He was a 1966 Portland High School graduate, and a member of Portland Country Club and Portland Elks Lodge where he served as Exalted Ruler.
Chris was a member of the Portland Rockets baseball team, was an avid golfer and enjoyed Butler University basketball and Chicago White Sox baseball.
Surviving are one son, Cale Hearn (companion: Dia Allfrey) of Fishers, Indiana; and one daughter, Lacey Ninde (husband: Dan) of Portland; one brother, Mark Hearn (wife: Margaret) of Carmel, Indiana; and four grandchildren Xavier, Maebry, Ashlynn and Madalynn.
There will be no services at this time.
Baird-Freeman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials can be made to the Portland Elks Lodge.
