Jerome Flueckiger
Obituary
Jerome L. Flueckiger, 99, of Berne, Indiana, passed away on Saturday morning, Nov. 7, 2020, at Swiss Village in Berne.
He was born on June 25, 1921, in Adams County, Indiana, to the late Carl Flueckiger and the late Nora (Mettler) Flueckiger. He was united in marriage to Thelma Lee Boyd on May 15, 1948, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 10, 2012.
Jerome served his country in World War II in the United States Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1945. He was a B-24 pilot and he was very proud of that.
He was a member of First Mennonite Church in Berne and also a member of the American Legion Post #468.
Jerome was a retired Adams County farmer and was also employed with CTS in Berne for 25 years.
He was an avid reader and enjoyed following national politics.
Jerome is survived by his sister, Geraldine Craig of Marion, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2020, at Westlawn Cemetery in Geneva, Indiana with the Rev. Anita Rediger officiating.
Arrangements are by Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne, Indiana.
