Obituary
Byron Keith Harter, 62, of Bluffton passed away Thursday afternoon at Signature Health Care in Bluffton.
Byron was born Nov. 28, 1957, in Hartford City, Indiana, to the late Charles L. Harter and Clara B. Harter (Chenoweth).
Byron was a 1976 graduate of Bluffton High School. He had worked at Franklin Electric, W.W. Concrete, G & H Fertilizer, Berne Ready Mix, Peytons and most recently American Axle Manufacturing.
Byron enjoyed golfing, fishing and just being outdoors. He loved to bowl. He had several rings for perfect games. He also enjoyed watching the Indianapolis Colts and IndyCar and NASCAR races and was an avid Indiana University sports fan. He dearly loved his family, friends and pets.
Survivors include his siblings, Dick Harter of Paulding, Ohio, Clarence Harter (Bonnie) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Linda Gaunt (Phil) of Anderson, Indiana, Anna Bocock (Ed) of Marion, Indiana, Janine Wallace of Muncie, Indiana, and Roger Harter (Hulda) of Montpelier, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and numerous cousins.
Byron was preceded in death by his parents; a sister-in-law, Vicki Harter; and a brother-in-law, Terry Wallace.
There will be a Memorial Service held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton.
