Edwin Manor

Edwin Dale Manor, age 84, a resident of Salamonia, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020, at Columbus Transitional Care and Rehab in Columbus, Indiana.

Edwin was born on Oct. 8, 1936, in Salamonia, Indiana, the son of Wilbur Earl and Bessie Jane (Wright) Manor. He worked for New Idea in Coldwater, Ohio, and was a self-employed standing seam roofer for many years.

Edwin was a member of First Church of Christ in Portland. He was a firefighter for Salamonia Volunteer Fire Department.

Edwin married Carrol Bentz on Feb. 6, 1954.

His wife of 66 years — Carrol Manor, Salamonia, Indiana

Two daughters — Deborah Jane Huntsman (husband: Lattie), Portland, Indiana, and Sherry Marie Roberts-Coats (husband: Bryan), Englewood, Florida

One son — Bruce Alan Manor (wife: Lisa), Salamonia, Indiana

One sister — Freda Shull, Portland, Indiana

Ten grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by a son, Rick Alan Manor; a grandson, Ricky Alan Manor; and a sister, LeEtta Bonifield.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Salamonia Cemetery in Salamonia, Indiana. Pastor Flint Redwine will officiate the service and burial.
