The shutterbugs have turned spooky this year.
The Midwest Shutterbug Scale Model Nationals, Midwest Shutterbug Halloween Car, Truck and Bike Show and a Dia de los Muertos celebration are scheduled for Saturday at Jay County Fairgrounds. The event is typically held in the spring, but was delayed this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The model nationals, which will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, features model cars, trucks and other vehicles. It will coincide with an outdoor car, truck and bike show at the fairgrounds.
The Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) event will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will feature a gathering to pray for and remember family and friends who have died.
All three events are free to spectators.

Ball State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance will host an online performance of “She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms” beginning Thursday.
Shows are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The show was adapted by Qui Nguyen from his original play to be performed in an online setting. It’s a dramatic comedy that follows a young woman grieving her sister’s death.
Tickets are $10 for the general public and $5 for BSU faculty, students, staff and seniors. They are available at bsu.edu/theatre.
