A local church is offering help to those dealing with loss.
Calvary United Methodist Church is hosting a grief share and support group.
The group meets at 5 p.m. on Sundays. it is open to anyone who has lost a loved one.

Craft night set
Jay Community Center will host a wine and craft night at 6 p.m. Nov. 6.
Participants will receive craft supplies, two glasses of wine and hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are $35, or $30 for senior citizens.
Registration is required by visiting the community center, 115 E. Water St., Portland. The deadline is Oct. 30.

Help is needed
LifeStream is looking for volunteers to help with efforts to brighten the holiday season through its AngelWish program for older adults who are isolated.
The program coordinates delivery of gifts to older adults in the 12-county area, including Jay.
Those interested in helping out can sign up to deliver gifts between Dec. 4 and 24 or make a monetary donation, both by visiting lifestreaminc.org/angelwish. Donations are also being accepted by mail at 1701 Pilgrim Boulevard, Yorktown, IN 47396.

Ball State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance will host an online performance of “She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms” beginning Thursday.
Shows are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The show was adapted by Qui Nguyen from his original play to be performed in an online setting. It’s a dramatic comedy that follows a young woman grieving her sister’s death.
Tickets are $10 for the general public and $5 for BSU faculty, students, staff and seniors. They are available at bsu.edu/theatre.
