To the editor:
On Thursday, we are being asked to pray for the conversion of our nation and our world.
We must return back to God, especially for the unborn of which All Lives Matter, for this presidential election, for the killing of our police officers and first responders and the evil of those participating in the riots around our country by destroying homes, businesses and the many lives of innocent people doing their jobs each day.
We can do something about this.
First, we can do some sort of penance, which would be a kind act toward others by changing the hearts of many whose lives have been destroyed.
Second, we can fast from food or drink, and also fast from the battle of gossiping about others and for the lack of forgiveness we show toward one another.
Third, we must pray and continue to pray to stop the violence we are experiencing for the good of our own community and of our nation.
Please keep this date — Sept. 24 — on your calendar and just stop to pause and pray this day and beyond for the good of all.
Thank you, and God Bless America.
