Larry Guntle
Obituary
Larry P. Guntle, age 83, a resident of Portland, passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020, at Albany Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was an independent truck driver, and worked 12 years for UPS. He also worked security for Indiana Glass and Sheller Globe Co. He was a member of the Kingsley Full Gospel Church in Dunkirk. He also was a veteran serving in the Indiana National Guard.
Larry P. Guntle was born Aug. 9, 1937, in Mercer County, Ohio, the son of Howard and Dorothy (Jones) Guntle.
Survivors include:
One son — Larry E. Guntle, Portland
One daughter — Belinda Schmidt, Bluffton
Two brothers — Howard Guntle, Portland, and Danny Guntle, Pennville
Three sisters — Mary Lou Myers (husband: James), Pennville, Marjorie Hickey, Petroleum, and Beverly Hodge, Portland
Six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren
Visitation for Larry P. Guntle will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Memorials may be directed to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
