Obituary
Brenda Lucille Smith, age 73, of Gallipolis, Ohio, died Monday evening March 29, 2021, at the SOIN Medical Center in Beavercreek, Ohio.
Born Sept. 18, 1947, in Gallipolis, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Rose Marie Sanders Hendren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Hendren.
Brenda enjoyed a host of activities after her retirement, these activities included doing research on Gallipolis and her family history, drawing, painting and writing, collecting dolls, quilting, spending time with her cats and sitting by the river in the Gallipolis park.
She is survived by a son, Andy (Angie) Smith; daughter, Amy Garringer; grandchildren, Cody Smith, Lachelle (Mitch) Potter, Kelsie (Bailey) Krendick and Emily Garringer; great-grandchild Rowan Potter; brother Don Hendren; sister Bertie Muhlenkamp; and sister-in-law Karin Hendren. Also surviving are nieces and nephews Vikki (Brian) Pullins and family, April (Brad) Moellenberndt and family, Loraine (Zach) Phillips and family, Michael Hendren and family, Dane (Ira) Hendren and family, Kyle Hendren, and family and Justin Hendren and family.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday April 3, 2021, at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from noon to 1 p.m.
All those attending are to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.
