Obituary
Shirley A. Fifer, age 84, a resident of Ridgeville passed away Friday, April 23, 2021, surrounded by family at her daughter’s home in Winchester.
Shirley retired from CTS in Berne in 2000 after 26 years. She attended the Bible Missionary Church in Winchester.
Shirley Fifer was born July 31, 1936, in Jay County, Indiana, the daughter of Richard and Pearl (Gray) Leavell. She was married on Dec. 28, 1952, to Charles (Chuck) Fifer and he passed away on Nov. 9, 1982.
Survivors include:
Three daughters — Barbara Nilsen (husband: Don), New Port Richey, Florida, Betty Teer (husband: Bud), Winchester, Indiana, and Cindy Dudgeon, Bluffton, Indiana
Eight grandchildren
Seventeen great-grandchildren
Three great-great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Fifer Jr., in 2016.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pastor Scott Turner will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bryant.
