CELINA, Ohio — It took one invitational for Jalyn Bruns to win a title.
Bruns, a Fort Recovery High School senior, earned the individual championship Wednesday as the Indians took sixth in the Gary Broering Invitational at Mercer County Elks Golf Club.
Coldwater shot 363 to win the team title, with Wapakoneta (414) taking second and St. Henry (415) placing third.
The Indians totaled 438 for fifth, one stroke behind Midwest Athletic Conference rival Marion Local.
Bruns led all players with her round of 81, six strokes ahead of runner-up Jordan Hemmelgarn of Coldwater.
Macy Brunswick had the Indians’ second-best score with her round of 114, and Paige Bihn was third with 120. Kim Hart and Shelby Acheson both shot 123 to complete the team total.
Alaina Will also competed, but her 145 did not factor into the team score.
