Obituary
Clover Bearfield, age 70, a resident of Ridgeville, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021, at her home in Ridgeville.
Clover was born on July 1, 1951, in Peru, Indiana, the daughter of Walter and Bertha Mae (Davis) Schrader. She earned an associate’s degree in mental health, bachelor’s degree in social work, master’s degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling with a minor in applications in computers. Clover worked for Jay-Randolph Developmental Services and Community Care East in Portland. She was a member of the VFW in Fort Recovery, Moose Lodge of Portland, Eagles Lodge of Portland and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Clover married Russel Earl Ervin in 1970 and he passed away in July 1975. She then married James Bearfield on June 5, 1976, and he passed away on June 27, 1985. Her companion Daniel Glen Resler passed away on Nov. 11, 2006.
Survivors include:
Two daughters — Tonya White, Preble, Indiana, and Tina Ervin, Ridgeville, Indiana
One son — Kenneth Duane Ervin (wife: Jennifer), Berne, Indiana
One sister — Paula Ann Joseph, Yeaddis, Kentucky
Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren
Visitation will be held on Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Services to celebrate Clover’s life will follow at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Pastor Jonathon Edwards will officiate the service and burial will follow at Lawndale Cemetery, east of Ridgeville.
