Levi Long

Levi W. Long, age 22, of Fort Wayne and former Portland resident passed away on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021, at Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Levi was born in Muncie on Jan. 22, 1999, the son of Michael Ethan Long and Shelly Denise Brown. He was a nursing student at IPFW in Fort Wayne. He was a 2017 Norwell High School graduate. He was a bodybuilder and weightlifter and enjoyed baseball, music, movies, cats and his family.

Surviving are his mother, Shelly Brown Baker (husband: Gary) of Dunlap, Tennessee; brother Christian King of Portland; sisters Michaela Cox (husband: Corey) of Portland and Madison Long of Portland; former stepfather Mark King of Portland; and three nieces, Maxwell Cox, Maggie Cox and Iris Cox.

He was preceded in death by his father Michael Long.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, at 1 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Hugh Kelly presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
