Janice Ann Roe, 63, of Dunkirk, Indiana, passed away early Monday morning, Aug. 23, 2021, at IU Health Jay of Portland, Indiana.
She was born Aug. 21, 1958, in Muncie, Indiana, the daughter of Cecil and Mildred (Brackin) Green. She was a graduate of Blackford County High School.
Janice retired in 2018 after 17 years with Ardagh of Dunkirk, Indiana. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion in Dunkirk, Indiana. She enjoyed spending her leisure time golfing with her husband, flower gardening and spending time with family and friends enjoying her yard.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband, Anthony “Tony” Roe; her mother, Mildred; a daughter, Sarah Burress (husband: Aaron) of Dunkirk, Indiana; two brothers, Ben Green of Dunkirk, Indiana, and Steve Green of Parker City, Indiana; a sister, Charlotte Kreps (husband: Mick) of Dunkirk, Indiana; three grandchildren, Courtney Eppard, Jacob Cross and Sophia McGary; two great-grandchildren, Stormy and Xander; and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her father; a son, Arnie Marcum; a grandson, Austin Eppard; a brother, Bob Green; and a sister, Emma Ridgeway.
A service to celebrate Janice’s life will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, at Wilson Shook Funeral Home, Dunkirk Memorial Chapel of Dunkirk, Indiana. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery of Eaton, Indiana. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, at the funeral home.
