Robert France

Robert France, age 81, a resident of Jefferson Township, Jay County, passed away Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He farmed in Jefferson Township for many years.

Robert was born Nov. 30, 1939, in Monterey, Tennessee, the son of Lee and Etty France.

He was married on Nov. 5, 1965, to Patsy Caylor, and she passed away May 15, 2010.

Survivors include:

One son — Troy France (wife: Chanin), Ridgeville, Indiana

One daughter — Brenda France, Ridgeville, Indiana

Three grandchildren

A brother — Raymond France, Monterey, Tennessee

Two sisters — Catherine Tollett, Monterey, Tennessee, and Celia Poteet, Cookeville, Tennessee

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Reitenour Cemetery, east of Ridgeville.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.
