Ronald Myers

Ronald J. Myers, age 82, a resident of Montpelier, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021 at Morrison Woods in Muncie, Indiana.

Ronald was born on Aug. 8, 1939, in Bryant, Indiana, the son of Clarence and Hazel (Harden) Myers. He worked for Sterling in Bluffton and Indiana Glass in Dunkirk. Ronald owned and operated R&M Builders for many years. In his retirement, Ronald enjoyed woodworking and making furniture.

Ronald married Cheryl (Kruse) Schoenherr on Dec. 24, 1994.

Four sons — Dee Myers (wife: Donna), Hartford City, Indiana, Mike Myers (wife: Tina), Pennville, Indiana, David Myers (wife: Hope), Bluffton, Indiana, and Steve Myers (wife: Cherri), Hartford City, Indiana

Two step-daughters — Angela Belanger (husband: Scott Taylor), Dahlonega, Georgia, and Debra Sitar (husband: Ed), Chicago

Two sisters — Vonnie Hamill, Kendallville, Indiana, and Rosella Bauman, Pennville, Indiana

Three brothers — Jim Myers (wife: Mary), Pennville, Indiana, Bob Myers (wife: Karen), Redkey, Indiana, and Don Myers (wife: Marilyn), Geneva, Indiana

Five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Services to celebrate Ronald’s life will follow at noon on Thursday at the funeral home. Pastor Gil Alicea will officiate the service and burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery, west of Bryant.
