Wanda Barnett, age 88, of Portland passed away Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021, in IU Health Jay.
She was born in Union City on Nov. 13, 1933, the daughter of Chancey and Ina (Rouch) Morehous. She was married on May 15, 1954, to Robert L. Barnett and he passed away on May 9, 2004.
Wanda was a homemaker and had worked at Display Craft and Ballistran, and in nursing homes. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Jayland Antique Car Club, and was a Madison High School graduate.
Surviving are two sons, Steve Barnett (wife: Deb) of Portland and Mark Barnett (wife: Lisa) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one daughter, Cathy Shea (husband: Jerry) of St. Marys, Georgia; five grandchildren, Brad Barnett, Brian Barnett, Brent Barnett, Stephanie Shea-McCloughan and Amanda Stubblefield; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Boggs presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m.
Memorials can be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or the Choice of the Donor.
