Dealing drugs
Two Portland residents were arrested Thursday for dealing drugs.
Michael W. Davis, 62, 215 E. North St., was preliminarily charged with the following: a Level 2 felony for dealing methamphetamine, two Level 6 felonies for maintaining a common nuisance and unlawful possession of a syringe, a Class B misdemeanor for possession of marijuana and a Class C misdemeanor for possession of paraphernalia. He’s being held on a $60,000 bond in Jay County Jail.
Cheryl A. Johnston, 47, 612 W. Arch St., was preliminarily charged with the following: a Level 2 felony for dealing methamphetamine, two Level 6 felonies for two counts of unlawful possession of a syringe, two Level 6 felonies for two counts of maintaining a common nuisance, a Class B misdemeanor for possession of marijuana and two Class C misdemeanors for two counts of possession of paraphernalia. She also failed to appear in court for previous charges of possession of methamphetamine, a Level 5 felony, and maintaining a common nuisance, a Level 6 felony. Johnston is being held on a $100,000 bond in Jay County Jail.

A Portland man was arrested Monday for failing to appear in court.
Matthew E. Cline, 27, 4707 N. U.S. 27, has multiple original charges: three Level 6 felonies for three counts of unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a Level 6 felony for possession of methamphetamine, a Class A misdemeanor for resisting law enforcement, two Class A misdemeanors for two counts of driving with a suspended license, a Class A misdemeanor for possession of marijuana, a Class C misdemeanor for possession of paraphernalia.
He’s being held without bond in Jay County Jail.
