Juried art show starts on July 26

A juried art show is scheduled for later this month.

The Blackford County Arts center of Arts Place will hold its 2021 SummerFest Juried Art Show beginning July 26.

Information about submitting work is available at artsland.org or at Blackford County Arts Center, 107 W. Washington St., Hartford City. The deadline is July 16.

The work by Indiana artists will be juried by Kathryn Armstrong, executive director of the Columbus Area Arts Council in Columbus, Indiana.

An opening reception for the exhibit is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. July 30. Awards will be presented at 6:30 p.m.

The exhibit will run through Sept. 9 and will be open during the center’s regular hours — 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month.
