Sharyl “Sherry” D. Mosier, age 66, Willshire, Ohio, and former Jay County resident passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, in James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
She was born in Portland on Oct. 12, 1954, the daughter of Jack and Joan (Ellsworth) Wendel. She was married on March 21, 2021, to Dan Mosier and he survives.
Sherry had worked at Swiss Village in Berne as a receptionist and at Honda in Marysville, Ohio. She was a 1973 Bryant High School graduate and member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and sewing.
Surviving are her husband Dan; her parents Jack and Joan Wendel of New Corydon; one son, Quentin Berry (wife: Danielle) of Sturgis, Michigan; one daughter, Miranda Berry of Monroe; two brothers, Ron Wendel (wife: Joyce) of The Villages, Florida, and Don Wendel (wife: Beth) of Monroe; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Wendel; and nephew Brian Wendel.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at 10 a.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Martin Bornhoeft presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery in Portland. Visitation will be Monday from 3 to 7 p.m.
