Nolan Boolman

Nolan O. Boolman, age 71, of Portland passed away on the evening of Friday, July 9, 2021, at his residence.
He was born in Portland on Feb. 11, 1950, the son of Oliver and Ruby (Hines) Boolman. He was married on May 2, 1970, to Teresa Kay Lee, and she passed away on Oct. 10, 2019.
Nolan was retired from FCC in Portland and had worked for McIntosh in Berne. He also was owner of Nobs Pizza in Ridgeville. He was a member and past president of United Steel Workers of America, a member of Eagles Lodge, attended Collett Nazarene Church and was a 1968 Portland High School graduate. Nolan enjoyed playing guitar and traveling.
Surviving are one son, Jeffery Boolman (wife: Sherry) of Port Orange, Florida; one daughter, Amy Boolman Naylor of Portland; one sister, Genevieve Newton of Portland; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, four sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 7 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Stanton presiding. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m.
