Entries are open for poetry contest

A statewide poetry organization is looking for all of those and more.
Poetry Society of Indiana is accepting entries for its annual poetry contest.
The contest features 23 categories, with prize money for the top three in each. The entry fee is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. The deadline is Sept. 1.
Winners will be announced during Poetry Society of Indiana’s Fall Rendezvous, which is scheduled for Oct. 29 through 31.

Hosting VBS
First Church of Christ of Fort Recovery and Christ Chapel will hold Vacation Bible School from July 19 through 22.
The school is for children ages 4 through sixth grade and will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Community Park. The theme will be "Be Strong & Courageous: Moses, David and Daniel.”
Those who register by July 9 will receive a T-shirt.

Drive underway
Our Home Family Resource Center is again hosting its Back-to-School Supply Drive.
The drive serves to provide school supplies to more than 200 children in Mercer County, including Fort Recovery. Items needed include book bags, folders, facial tissue, markers, pencils, erasers, pens and highlighters. A full list is available for online shopping at a.co/g9zhUwf.
Donations will be accepted through Aug. 12 at Our Home, 117 W. Fayette St., Celina, Ohio. Volunteers will sort and pack donations, which will be available for pick-up Aug. 17 and 18 at Celina First Church of God.
