Students will have the opportunity to zip through the enrollment process next week.
Ivy Tech Community College will host Express Enrollment from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 26 through 30.
The event will allow students to complete enrollment steps virtually and sign up for classes that begin Aug. 18. Those interested in participating must RSVP at ivytech.edu/eeday.
Express enrollment will include assistance with assessment, meeting with an advisor and registering for classes.
Senior series
John Jay Center for Learning’s Senior Learning Series next event, the first to be held at John Jay since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 5. Justin Curley of Jay County’s Purdue Extension Office will discuss building a mini greenhouse.
Planetarium open
Charles W. Brown Planetarium at Ball State University is now open again for public shows.
The planetarium will host “To Space & Back” on July 22, 23, 29 and 30. All shows begin at 6:30 p.m. Masks are required.
Registration for the free shows is required at brownplanetarium.eventbrite.com.
Entries open
A statewide poetry organization is looking for all of those and more.
Poetry Society of Indiana is accepting entries for its annual poetry contest.
The contest features 23 categories, with prize money for the top three in each.
The deadline is Sept. 1.
