Know a veteran deserving of recognition? An Indiana organization is looking for suggestions.
Indiana Military Veterans Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for induction.
In order to be inducted, a veteran must have been born in Indiana, entered military service from Indiana or lived in Indiana for a minimum of five years. The nominee must also have received an honorable discharge and not have a felony conviction.
To make a nomination or find more information, visit imvhof.com/nominate. The deadline for nominations is Aug. 1.
Drive underway
Our Home Family Resource Center is again hosting its Back-to-School Supply Drive.
The drive serves to provide school supplies to more than 200 children in Mercer County, including Fort Recovery. Items needed include book bags, folders, facial tissue, markers, pencils, erasers, pens and highlighters. A full list is available for online shopping at a.co/g9zhUwf.
Donations will be accepted through Aug. 12 at Our Home, 117 W. Fayette St., Celina, Ohio.
Those in need of supplies should register online at ourhomefrc.com/schoolsupplies by Aug. 5.
Be in the book
Acclaim Press is creating the “Hoosier Homestead Farm” Legacy Book to feature the more than 5,800 farms that have received the Hoosier Homestead Award.
All Hoosier Homestead farms are eligible to submit up to 300 words about their history to be included in the book. A photo can be submitted as well.
To submit information, email 300 words and a photo to [email protected]. The deadline is Aug. 31.
