FR museum presentation is Sunday
Taking Note
There will be an opportunity to learn about the Northwest Ordinance this weekend.
Fort Recovery State Museum will host the presentation “The Northwest Ordinance, 1787: Implemented in Fort Recovery; Have we Honored it yet today?” at 3 p.m. Sunday at Nazarene Family Center, 401 E. Boundary St.
Joe Beatty, a Houston resident who is a descendent of two soldiers who served under Gen. Arthur St. Clair in the Battle of the Wabash, will lead the presentation. Samuel Beatty’s name is etched in the Fort Recovery Monument as one of the officers killed in the battle.
The event is free of charge. For more information, call (419) 375-4384.
Registration open
