Limberlost State Historic Site has activities planned for August and September.
The site will host a Swifts Night Out on Aug. 7 and has an Autumn Loblolly Wildflower Safari scheduled for Sept. 11.
The Swifts Night Out will begin with a presentation in the Limberlost Visitor Center Classroom, 200 6th St., Geneva, at 8 p.m. Aug. 7. Attendees will then take part in a “swift sit” in downtown Geneva to watch the birds in flight.
Families are invited to bring lawn chairs to take part in the program. Admission is $1.50 for members and $2 for non-members.
The wildflower safari is set for 10 a.m. Sept. 11 at the Loblolly Marsh Nature Preserve.
Visitors will join a Limberlost naturalist for a stroll along the Loblolly trails to see early autumn wildflowers in bloom. The naturalist will discuss how humans and animals use the plants.
The fee is $3 for children and $5 for adults. Participants should meet at the Loblolly preserve parking lot at 8323 N. 250 West, rural Bryant.
