Obituary
Pamela McEwen, age 65, a resident of Berne, Indiana, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021, at IU Health Jay in Portland. She was a former resident of Portland.
Pamela was born Feb. 28, 1956, in Portland, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary (Curtis) Geesaman. She graduated from Penn Township High School in 1974 and enrolled in art school in Indianapolis.
Pamela worked at Bing Lear in Berne, Indiana, for over 30 years, Jinny’s Cafe in Bryant, JR Manufacturing in Fort Recovery and as a driver for the Amish.
Pamela married Richard McEwen on Sept. 21, 1975. He passed away on Aug. 13, 2000.
Survivors include:
Two sons — Shannon McEwen (wife: Ginger), Dunkirk, Indiana, and Brad McEwen, Berne, Indiana
One brother — Larry Geesaman, Dunkirk, Indiana
Six grandchildren — Shelby Grody, Brandon Cronkhite, Ethan McEwen, Logan McEwen, Savanah McEwen and Corbin McEwen
Three great-grandchildren — Emma McGill, Jacob Cronkhite and Cameron Cronkhite
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Heather McEwen
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in I.O.O.F. Twin Hill Cemetery in Pennville with Pastor Steve Rogers officiating the service.
