David Haworth

David P. Haworth, 79, of Berne, Indiana passed away Tuesday evening, July 27, 2021, at his residence.
David was born Nov. 12, 1941, in Portland, Indiana, to the late Roger Haworth and the late Mabel (Tharp) Haworth. He was united in marriage to Jane Dague on July 10, 1982.
David graduated from Madison High School in Jay County, Indiana, in 1960. He was a member of the Adams County Bowling Hall of Fame.
David loved bowling, accomplishing at least 24 perfect 300 games and seven 800 series. David also enjoyed golf.
David owned and operated Haworth Lanes in Berne along with his wife for 40 years, retiring in December of 2013.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Jane Haworth of Berne, Indiana; daughter Shari (George) Caster of Union City, Indiana; son, Bill (Deb) Haworth of Union City, Indiana; son, Kevin (Tricia) Haworth of Decatur, Indiana; son, David (Denise) Conner of South Whitley, Indiana; daughter, April Wimmer of Berne, Indiana; son, Tim (Malisa) Conner of Berne, Indiana; one sister, Cathy (Ted) Habegger of Portland, Indiana; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Spencer Haworth, Justin Trocano and Abigail Conner.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 2, 2021, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel, in Berne with Pastor David Cox officiating. Burial will follow at M.R.E. Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021, and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. service at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials may be sent to Heart to Heart Hospice.
