Rebecca Noveroske

May 1, 1941-July 19, 2021

Rebecca Warnock Noveroske passed away on July 19, 2021, at 80 years of age.

She was born May 1, 1941, to Earl and Eileen (Carnes) Warnock Jr. in Portland, Indiana, the second of three daughters.

She graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor of science in art. During that time, she met her future husband, Jim. After they married, Becky worked as an elementary school teacher to support the family while he finished graduate school. After this initial teaching career, Becky chose to be a stay-at-home mother to raise their two daughters, Laura and Linda.

For the last 26 years, Becky and Jim have lived in Sparks, Nevada. Becky continued to inspire children for many years after her daughters had gone on to start their own families. She served as the director of The Child Garden preschool for 10 years. When she retired in 2007, she was happy to focus on enjoying her family, in particular her grandchildren and her cats. She also became an avid bird watcher, spending hours in her backyard feeding them.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jim Noveroske, of Sparks, Nevada; daughters Laura Quinn of Rosemount, Minnesota, and Linda Noveroske-Tritten of Davis, California; along with her five grandchildren (Conor, Natalie and Alexis in Minnesota and Juliet and Eliot in California). She is also survived by her two sisters, Melissa Bouland of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, and Priscilla DeMarco of Fremont, Indiana; and her two cats, Hobo and Foo.

No formal celebration is being held; however, everyone is encouraged to remember Becky in their own way. If you wish to toast her life, she loved champagne.
