Calling all artists.
The Jay County Campus of Arts Place is accepting entries for a regional juried exhibition.
The exhibit is open to artists 18 and older who live in Indiana or an adjacent state. The work must be original and have been made within the last two years. All media are eligible.
Artist Maria Whiteman, a visiting fellow as the artist in social practice at the Environmental Resilience Institute at Indiana University, will jury the show. Her art focuses on interconnectedness.
There will be a total of $3,000 in prizes, including $1,500 for best in show. There will also be a $500 award for the best 2-D piece.

Cleveland in concert
Bluegrass musician Michael Cleveland and his group Flamekeeper will perform a free outdoor concert at 7 p.m. Aug. 7 at Canan Commons as part of the Muncie Three Trails Music Series.
Cleveland’s most recent album, “Tall Fiddler,” won the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album. In 2018, he was inducted into the National Fiddler Hall of Fame.

The Dunkirk Webster Depot Park Concert Series resumes Saturday with a performance by Jay Foxx Band.
The band performs polka, big band, country, pop, bluegrass, rock and oldies. The concert series continues at 7 p.m. each Saturday through the first weekend of August.
Nominations open
Indiana Military Veterans Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for induction.
In order to be inducted, a veteran must have been born in Indiana, entered military service from Indiana or lived in Indiana for a minimum of five years. The nominee must also have received an honorable discharge and not have a felony conviction.

John Jay Center for Learning’s Senior Learning Series next event, the first to be held at John Jay since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Justin Curley of Jay County’s Purdue Extension Office will discuss building a mini greenhouse.
