The museum in Fort Recovery will host several events this month.
Fort Recovery State Museum will be open for free from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in conjunction with the car show on Wayne Street.
The museum will also be involved in a couple of Memorial Day events.
Fort Recovery’s Memorial Day service, which will also include the lighting of the Fort Recovery Monument, is slated for 7:30 p.m. May 28. The museum will also be open on Memorial day (May 31).
Exhibit open
Minnetrista will host “Leonardo’s Lab” and “Jarring Our Memories” this month.
Leonardo’s Lab, an opportunity for young artists and inventors to learn about Leonardo DaVinci, opened Saturday. The exhibit provides hands-on activities inspired by DaVinci’s ideas and discoveries.
Jarring Our Memories, which celebrates the history of the Ball Corporation, will open Saturday. It features oral histories, objects and images and is intended as a tribute to Ball Corporation workers.
Both exhibits will be open through Aug. 1. They are free to members. Admission for non-members is $8.
