Masonic Lodge split a pair of games Thursday in Portland Junior League’s Major softball division.

It topped Jay County Monument 15-3 and fell to All-Circuit Electrical, 6-4.

Brooklyn Bright had two doubles and a single for Masonic Lodge in the win against Jay County Monument. Chelsea Bessesen chipped in two singles. Alexis Sibray hit two singles for Jay County Monument in the loss.

Jordyn Hutzler singled twice for All-Circuit in its win against Masonic Lodge. Kendel Rowles, Emily Young, Carley Trinidad, Hallie Schwieterman and Kadence Allred each singled.

Nevaeh Armstrong hit a double and singled for Masonic Lodge, which got two singles from Brenna Bailey as well. MaKaylah Brainerd also singled.



Matt’s hangs on

Matt’s Garage won a high-scoring affair against Pak-A-Sak, 19-12, in their Rookie baseball contest.

Blake Jellison homered, doubled, singled twice and had six RBIs for Matt’s. Lavaughn Ballard had four singles and three RBIs, while Eason Steed and Ethan Peterson contributed four singles and two RBIs each. Lexton Dakin had three singles and three RBIs.

Sawyer Young knocked in three RBIs on three singles for Pak-A-Sak. Henry Teeter doubled, singled three times and had an RBI, while Cash Reynolds hit a double, two singles and tallied three RBIs.



Barnett’s wins big

Two players each had four hits in leading Barnett’s Auto Parts to a 17-2 victory against Williams Auto Parts on Thursday in Rookie baseball action.

Cody Klopfenstein was 4-for-4 with a home run, while Tuck Hemmelgarn was 4-for-4 with a triple. Sawyer Hemmelgarn and Maddix Hampton had three hits each, and Emmett Betz doubled as part of his 2-for-2 effort.

Parker Huntsman and Hayden Franks each had two hits to lead Williams. LT Carter, Ethan Wilson and Maxim Ward each singled.



Lions tops Optimist

Lions Club grabbed a 10-2 win against Portland Optimist in their Willie Mays game on Thursday.

Logan Wendel hit a pair of doubles and Alex Miller had one two-base hit as well. Miller struck out seven batters in three innings, and Miller fanned four in two innings.

Varen Ridgway doubled twice for Optimist. Nick Snow hit a double, and Kaden Carpenter singled. Ridgway collected three strikeouts, and Snow had three punch outs.



Wiggins leads PG

Sam Wiggins drove in a pair of runs as PG-14 earned a 6-2 victory against Kiwanis in Willie Mays action Thursday.

Grant Fennig had a double, a single and an RBI for PG-14. Andrew Myers doubled, and Benson Armstrong had two singles. Eli Homan and Wiggins added singles.

Stats for Kiwanis were not provided.
