Arnold Gannon

Arnold Gannon, age 71, Redkey, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2021, at home following an illness.
Born in Muncie on May 21, 1950, he attended Eaton High School and lived in Jay County for over 30 years. Arnold was a truck driver for 20 years before retiring in the 1990s; during that time, he worked for Tom Huffman and Sam Pitman. He also helped his brother, Lonnie, farm in Delaware County and also worked at the Shideler grain elevator.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Patty Gannon; two sons, Steve Gannon (wife: Jennifer), Geneva, and Rodney Gannon (wife: Cassandra), Holiday, Florida; a stepdaughter, Diane Brown (husband: Jeremy), Muncie; two stepsons, Chris Hall, Charlotte, North Carolina, and Michael Hall, Belleville, Tennessee; three brothers, Jeff Gannon, Bradenton, Florida, Lonnie Gannon, Dunkirk, and Scott Gannon (wife: Linda), Albany; two sisters, Bonnie Gray (husband: Robert), Dunnellon, Florida, and Susan Ostrowski (husband: Fred), Kissimmee, Florida; two grandchildren, Melissa Buzzard and Benjamin Brown; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa J. Gannon; granddaughter Angel Gannon; and his parents, Floyd “Gus” and Betty L. Gannon.
Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Cherokee, Oklahoma. In accordance with Arnold’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
