The next John Jay Center for Learning Senior Learning Series event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

The event at John Jay will feature Doug Inman, executive director of The Portland Foundation. He will discuss the foundation and the impact it has had on Jay County over the last 70 years.

Next month’s senior learning event, scheduled for Dec. 2, will feature the program "How to Find Extra Help for a Parent at Home” presented by Lana Remaly of LifeStream Services.

Offering meal

Dunkirk American Legion will hold a free meal for veterans at 6 p.m. Nov. 11 for Veterans Day.

Along with the meal, the program “Stars for our Troops” will be presented. The legion is located at 118 W. Commerce St., Dunkirk.

Concludes Sunday

“Open Space: Art About the Land” is open at Minnetrista in Muncie.
