Obituary
Brian S. Stoner, 52, of Berne, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021, in Wells County as the result of a motor vehicle collision.
Born on July 8, 1969, in Portland, Indiana, he was the son of the late Harry “Butch” Stoner and Cathy (Emery) McClain.
Brian was a 1987 graduate of Jay County High School. He was united in marriage to Jessica Brewster on July 6, 1998, in Sevierville, Tennessee.
Brian loved his family and they enjoyed spending time together. He enjoyed watching the Indianapolis Colts and NASCAR, and his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. He loved to grill and sit around a fire. He was also a Scout Leader for Boys Scouts Troop # 67. Brian was employed at Lowe’s in Bluffton.
Brian is survived by his wife, Jessica Stoner; children, Justin Loper and Logan, Brittany, Lt. Cpl. Dakota “Cody” and Sidney Stoner; sister Sara Stoner; one granddaughter; and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Stoner.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel in Berne, with Pastor Keith Rupp and Mike Wilson officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday.
Preferred memorials are to Riley Hospital for Children.
