Obituary
James Davenport, age 75, a resident of Dunkirk, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021, at IU Health Ball Hospital in Muncie with his family by his side.
James was born Dec. 10, 1945, in Cincinnati, the son of Belvin and Cora (Sellers) Davenport. James worked for 43 years at St. Gobain Glass factories in Marion and Dunkirk. He was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Dunkirk. He was a teacher, trustee and treasure, and helped with music at the church where he will be sorely missed. James married Ann Hicks on March 8, 1969.

His loving wife — Ann Davenport, Dunkirk, Indiana
Two daughters — Robin Ferguson (husband: Danny), Dunkirk, Indiana, and Patricia Anderson (husband: Shane), Dunkirk, Indiana
Sister-in-law — Kay Hicks, Clarkrange, Tennessee
Four grandchildren — Seth Anderson, Courtney Anderson, Aaron Swearingen (wife: Angie) and Jordyn Kennedy (husband: Derek)
Three great-grandchildren — Davin, Tynlee and Ellie
Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. at First Freewill Baptist Church in Dunkirk at 12369 W. 600 S. Dunkirk, Indiana. Funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 13 at 11 a.m. at First Freewill Baptist Church in Dunkirk. Burial will be held in Dunkirk I.O.O.F Cemetery in Dunkirk with Br. Shane Anderson to officiate the service.
Memorial may be directed to the First Freewill Baptist Church in Dunkirk.
