Obituary
Karla (Arbuckle) Ruble, 69, of Redkey, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021, at her residence.
Karla was born in Portland, Indiana, on July 2, 1952, a daughter of the late Patricia (Geesman) and Hubert L. Arbuckle. She was a 1970 graduate of Redkey High School and formerly employed by Hubbard’s and Stone Ridge.
Karla was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed bowling, playing cards, TV shows like “The Price is Right,” “Wheel of Fortune” and “Survivor,” jewelry, clothes and listening to Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and Christy Lane. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who never missed a softball game or event supporting her grandchildren, had a strong work ethic and, no matter what life brought her way, she continued to persevere and give unconditional love, support and forgiveness to her boys.
Karla is survived by one son, Cyler Ruble (Amy Bogue); two brothers, Doug Arbuckle (wife: Sherri) and David Arbuckle; one daughter-in-law, Christeena Ruble; “first-born girl in the family” Faith Arbuckle; four grandchildren, Brayton, Cyli, Cassidi and Brenna; special friends, Coni Miller, Alisha Miller and Ome Lowe; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hubert (Cap) and Patricia (Pat) Arbuckle; one brother, Tom Arbuckle; and four sons, Corey, Casey, Campy and Chip Ruble.
Friends are invited to call Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m. at MJS Mortuaries – Redkey Chapel. A celebration of life service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Randy Davis officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Strong Cemetery in Albany, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MJS Mortuaries for a future dedication at the Redkey Little League Park in Karla’s memory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries – Redkey Chapel.
